Description
The Society for the Preservation of Nature Monuments in the Netherlands is a Dutch organisation (est. 1905) devoted to protection and management of nature reserves in the Netherlands.
The National Monument Waterloopbos is one of the oldest forests in the Netherlands (province of Flevoland) where the former Waterloopkundig Laboratorium (WL) was established. The Waterloopkundig Laboratorium was established for hydraulic research in the Netherlands, whose studies allowed the completion of complex infrastructural works, as well as large scale international projects. The National Monument Waterloopbos is managed by the Society for the preservation of nature monuments in the Netherlands.
The National Monument Waterloopbos is an Individual Site of the European Route of Industrial Heritage.
