- Fondazione Aquileia was established for the promotion and enhancement of the archaeological site of Aquileia with the endorsement of the regional law n. 18/2006, which provided for the constitution of a legal entity with the participation of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities of Italy, the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, the Municipality of Aquileia, the Province of Udine and the Archbishopric of Gorizia.
