Back Steering Committee of the project discussed progress in the economic crime area in Kosovo*

The Steering Committee (SC) of the Council of Europe/European Union joint “Project against Economic Crime in Kosovo“ (PECK III) held its fifth meeting on 12 May 2023 in Pristina. The meeting aimed to present and discuss project achievements over the last six months and the results of the implementation.
The meeting brought together representatives of all main beneficiary institutions and the European Union Office in Pristina. 

The SC members discussed implementation of the project and its achievements to date as well as ongoing and upcoming activities. Moreover, future implementation steps of technical cooperation in the economic crime area and the needs of beneficiary institutions were discussed as well.
Members of the SC emphasised the importance of continued support and contribution of the Council of Europe through PECK III in providing tangible and result oriented technical assistance and contributing to key reform processes in anti-corruption and anti-money laundering/combating the financing of terrorism areas.

The activity was organised within the framework of the “Project against Economic Crime in Kosovo” (PECK III), jointly funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the latter.
