A workshop on new trends of money laundering and terrorist financing (ML/FT) took place from 4 to 5 March 2020 in Tunis for the benefit of the Tunisian Financial Analysis Committee (CTAF), the National Commission for Combating Terrorism (CNLCT), the National Anti-Corruption Authority (INLUCC), the General Directorate of Customs, the Security Pole against Terrorism and Organised Crime, as well as the Ministry of the Interior (Anti-Terrorism Directorate).

The main objective of the workshop was to facilitate the discussion and to exchange with the participating institutions emerging trends and new typologies of ML and FT by highlighting the threats, risks and methods used.

This activity was organised by the Tunisia Anti-corruption Project (TAC) in cooperation with the Tunisian FIU within the European Union/Council of Europe joint “Project to Support Independent Bodies in Tunisia” (PAII-T). This activity and the resulting discussions will serve the relevant stakeholders to consider and undertake the updating of ML and FT typologies.
