Back Training on risk-based approach to inspections for regional and municipal authorities

The 2nd training on “Risk-based approach to inspections at regional and municipal levels in the Russian Federation” took place on 14-15 February 2019 in Kazan, Russian Federation. The training was conducted based on training materials developed within the PRECOP II project, for a specific audience consisting of representatives of the offices of Federal and Regional Business Ombudspersons’, inspectors of federal and regional administrations as well as representatives of executive and municipal authorities. The aim of these training events is to enhance capacities of relevant territorial federal, regional and municipal authorities to efficiently conduct inspections in line with the latest developments in the Russian legislative framework and best international practices.

The training was a combination of presentations, group work and panel discussions of practical exercises and case studies specifically developed for this purpose. It allowed the participants to obtain relevant knowledge about best international practices in the field of inspections with a special focus on risk-based approach, to get acquainted with the latest developments in the ongoing reform process in the field of inspections, and to contribute to further improving the way inspections are organised and conducted.

Some 40 trainees from 6 pilot regions benefited from the training event in Kazan.
