The joint European Union and Council of Europe project against Economic Crime (PECK III) continues to support the Agency for Prevention of Corruption (APC) in the corruption risk mapping process (CRM). 

In this respect, the project organised a two-day workshop for the APC staff who are also members of the Working Group entrusted to carry out the risk mapping process. The aim of the workshop was to provide guidance to the WG members and strengthen their capacities for analysing the collected data.
During the workshop, representatives of the APC benefitted from practical presentations by the Council of Europe experts focusing on the use of risk assessment tools. Participants were also introduced to proposed functionalities for the purpose of analysing data for determining risk factors and risk mitigating factors. 

Moreover, the event provided a good platform for detailed discussions on analysis of data based on perceptions, expert opinions and media reports. 
This activity is a part of series of events aimed at supporting the APC in conducting the CRM process based on the Council of Europe CRM Guide. The process which is expected to be concluded by June 2024 will provide an overview of sectors, activities, and functions with higher risk of corruption, and will subsequently enable authorities to carry out further in-depth corruption risk assessment and mitigation in selected priority areas in line with the Council of Europe methodology.

The activity was organised within the framework of the “Project against Economic Crime in Kosovo” (PECK III), jointly funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the latter.
