Back 5th Anti-Corruption Congress

The National Anti-Corruption Authority (INLUCC) held the 5th Anti-Corruption Congress on 9 December 2020 on the occasion of the International Anti-corruption Day. The event was organised under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Tunisia Mr Kais SAID and under the slogan of "fighting corruption in the era of the digital revolution: issues and challenges".

The issue of technological risks and the fight against corruption were discussed during the first session. The second session focused on digitisation as a corruption prevention mechanism, while the third and final session was devoted to the theme of post-COVID-19 recovery plans under the banner of integrity and transparency in the era of the digital revolution.

The congress attracted high-level participation from the Presidency of the Republic and the Government, ministries, the Court of Accounts, the Central Bank of Tunisia, independent bodies, national executive agencies, control bodies, customs, education institutions, judicial, legal and accounting professions, etc. Representatives of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, INLUCC counterpart agencies and technical and financial partners also took part in the work of the congress. In addition, concerned and interested participants joined or followed through video conferencing platform or via streaming on social media and the various Web pages of INLUCC.

This activity was organised with the support of the joint Programme to Support Independent Bodies in Tunisia (PAII-T) which is funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the latter.
