[03/04/07 11:00] Commissioner Thomas Hammarberg is in Geneva for two days of talks with the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. He is meeting UN HCHR Louise Arbour and a number of other high officials.
The discussions will focus on specific country situations, in particular those recently visited by the Commissioner on special missions (Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Chechen Republic of the Russian Federation, and the frozen conflicts in the Caucasus). The meetings will also discuss the offices' thematic priorities and modalities of closer cooperation.
