Electoral officials improve communication skills ahead of 2025 parliamentary elections

Electoral officials in Moldova strengthened their communication and interaction skills in preparation for the 2025 parliamentary elections, through a two-day workshop focused on effective public engagement and internal collaboration.

The training led by national and international consultants of the Council of Europe helped participants enhance their knowledge and skills to interact more effectively with media, political parties, electoral observers, voters, as well as to strengthen internal cooperation among electoral officials.

Approximately 50 participants took part in the initiative, including members of the Central Electoral Commission, its Apparatus and chairpersons of district electoral councils. The workshop featured interactive sessions on public speaking, internal communication, and behavioural design, coping with difficult audience, developing interpersonal competencies, including empathy, co-creation. Based on the survey conducted during the training the Council of Europe consultants will come up with proposals and suggestions on improvements of the institutional and interpersonal interaction within the Electoral Administration, which is important ahead of the upcoming 2025 Parliamentary elections in Moldova.

The activity is carried out within the Project ”Improving electoral practice in the Republic of Moldova (IEPRM) 2025-2028”, part of the Council of Europe Action Plan for the Republic of Moldova 2025-2028.
