In September 2025, teachers from Vocational Education and Training (VET) institutions across the Republic of Moldova joined a three-day Training of Trainers course on inclusive education, gender equality, and social rights–based integration. Building on this initiative, three one-day cascade training sessions for VET teachers were later held in Chișinău, Soroca, and Cahul.
The cascade trainings were designed to strengthen the capacity of VET teachers to apply inclusive education principles and methodologies in their teaching. A total of 64 participants - teachers representing 16 districts, Balti and Chisinau municipalities - engaged in practical sessions, collaborative activities, and peer-to-peer learning activities. These were designed to equip them with effective tools and methodologies to serve as multipliers in their respective institutions and communities.
Through case studies, interactive exercises, and practical tools, the trainings also addressed employment rights, workplace safety, non-discrimination and access to social benefits, equipping participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to promote inclusion and equality within their institutions and to provide effective support to peers and students.
“This event was organized within the framework of the Council of Europe Action Plan for the Republic of Moldova 2021-2024, and the project "Enhancing Employment Rights in the Republic of Moldova" which is co-funded by the Austrian Development Agency and the Council of Europe”.
