The third meeting of the Technical Committee of the Project “Support to further modernisation of court management in the Republic of Moldova” took place on 11 December 2024. Representatives of the Superior Council of Magistrates, the Agency for Court Administration, the National Institute of Justice, and members of the Council of Europe and of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova discussed the progress of the cooperation, the results achieved in 2024, and agreed on the activities of 2025.
The discussions focused on the results obtained through the cooperation in the framework of thematic task forces and working groups reuniting representatives from the courts of all levels, which produced on the basis of CEPEJ tools innovative policy documents on human resources management in the judiciary, on the reduction of the backlogs in courts, as well as on improving the judicial transparency and communication with the media. In addition, the Project ensured expert advice on the new legal framework of mediation services and is advancing on the improvement of the training on court management, including the publication of the HELP course on Quality of Justice – the Work of the CEPEJ translated into Romanian language.
This activity was organised within the framework of the Project “Support to further modernisation of court management in the Republic of Moldova”, co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe in their Partnership for Good Governance.
