The CCPE Bureau has published its Report on the independence and impartiality of the prosecution services in the Council of Europe member States (2019 edition). The Report covers the period from December 2017 to November 2019, and provides a summary of information submitted by CCPE members and observers, as well as by prosecutorial services and associations, concerning alleged infringements in member States of standards governing the independence and impartiality of the prosecution services. The Report has been prepared following a proposal in 2016 by the then Secretary General of the Council of Europe and within the framework of the implementation of the Council of Europe Plan of Action on strengthening judicial independence and impartiality.
