A look at our past is a supplementary interactive teaching pack on non-political aspects of the history of Cyprus. History educators from Austria, Germany, Norway, Portugal, Serbia, Spain and the United Kingdom shared their experiences with Cypriot colleagues on how to reflect cultural diversity so that pupils might understand it as an enriching factor helping them to live in a multicultural environment.
This is the third publication to appear in English, Greek and Turkish. The first, Multiperspectivity in Teaching and Learning History, was published in 2005 and the second The use of sources in teaching and learning history in 2009. The main aim of all these publications is to respond to the most urgent methodological needs of practising teachers by collecting examples of innovative teaching approaches and sharing experiences between local educators and their colleagues from various other European countries.
