On 29 September 2025, CEPEJ experts participated in a consultation via videoconference with representatives from the Academy of Justice of Azerbaijan and national mediation trainers. The meeting focused on the development of training manuals on mediation adapted to the Azerbaijani context.

Three manuals are currently being developed: a manual for the initial training of mediators; a specialised manual on family mediation; and a specialised manual on the mediation of labor disputes. They aim to improve the quality of training provided by the Academy of Justice.

These resources will become indispensable references, both for initial training and for the continuing professional development of mediators in Azerbaijan, thus contributing to the sustainability and credibility of the mediation system.

This activity was organised within the framework of the Project “Fostering mediation in Azerbaijan”, funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe in their Partnership for Good Governance III (2023-2027).
