In the framework of the Italian Presidency of the Committee of Ministers, Deputy Secretary General Bjørn Berge will take part in the high-level event on the impact of artificial intelligence on human rights, together with the Italian Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation Benedetto Della Vedova.

This segment will feature presentations on various aspects of artificial intelligence and human rights by eminent representatives of academia, business, government and international organisations. It will be followed by the Committee on Artificial Intelligence (CAI) inaugural plenary meeting.

The Committee has been set up to elaborate an appropriate legal framework on the development, design and application of artificial intelligence, based on Council of Europe’s standards.
