From 30 November to 4 December 2025, Ms Aitana Ratier Werbin (Spain), Legal Officer at the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Civil Service and member of the Council of Europe Committee on Artificial Intelligence (CAI), and Mr Daniel Pap, Legal Adviser at the Digital Development Unit, participated at the AI-Forward Summit 2025 in Tunis, Tunisia. The Summit gathered government officials, international organisations, private sector actors and academics to discuss developments in artificial intelligence. Ms Ratier Werbin and Mr Pap highlighted the Council of Europe’s AI Framework Convention, emphasising its focus on human rights, democracy and the rule of law, and presented HUDERIA as a practical tool for conducting risk and impact assessments across the AI lifecycle. The Summit provided an opportunity to enhance the Council of Europe’s visibility and to promote dialogue on rights-compliant AI governance in the region.
