Monitoring does not end with the publication of GRETA’s report; it is followed up by activities promoting better understanding and implementation of GRETA’s conclusions. Since 2012, round-table meetings have been proposed to all the countries which have been evaluated by GRETA in order to discuss the implementation of GRETA's recommendations. The round-table meetings bring together relevant stakeholders and are an opportunity to receive updated information on developments in the countries concerned and steps taken to implement GRETA’s recommendations. They are also a tool for promoting a better understanding of the Convention’s provisions, stimulating dialogue between relevant stakeholders in each country, and identifying areas where the Council of Europe can support national anti-trafficking efforts.
Conferences and other events regularly take place to raise awareness of the provisions of the Convention and the results of the monitoring process. Further, in order to strengthen capacity, workshops and training seminars are organised for difference professional groups.
