The Council of Europe launched two flagship HELP courses in the Republic of Moldova

On 4-5 June 2020 the Council of Europe launched two flagship HELP courses on child-friendly justice and family law and human rights in cooperation with the Lawyers Union in the Republic of Moldova and the National Institute of Justice respectively.

The launch of the courses has been made possible thanks to the Council of Europe project on Combating Violence against Children in the Republic of Moldova and foresees a long-term investment in the change of habits towards children’s rights in the country.

Both courses have been adapted to translate Council of Europe legal standards and practical guidelines into the Moldovan context and provide practical support to legal professionals in order to effectively implement these provisions in their daily work.

The European Programme for Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals (HELP) is the only pan-European Network of national training institutions for judges, prosecutors and lawyers in the 47 member states of the Council of Europe. It is an e-learning platform with free on-line courses on human rights and a human rights training methodology for legal professionals.
