- Beschreibung
- The Katowice Museum of History is the municipal museum taking care of Katowice’s cultural heritage.
The suburb of Nikiszowiec is one of the most notable workers’ communities in Europe, built between 1908 and 1924 to provide homes for miners and intended to be self-sufficient. A small museum has been established in a former public wash house as a department of the Katowice Museum of History.
The Historic Settlement of Nikiszowiec is an Individual Site of the European Route of Industrial Heritage.
