Within the project ‘’Reinforcing the capacity of the judiciary to apply European human rights standards at the national level in Bosnia and Herzegovina’’, the Council of Europe organised a Summer school on the European Convention on Human Rights from 10 to 14 July 2017 in Trebinje. The School offered a five-day opportunity for 25 future legal professionals to enhance their understanding on the implementation of the European Court of Human Rights’ case law at the national level. The participants were students from law schools of Banja Luka and Zenica. The key topics included the protection against discrimination (including countering hate speech and hate crimes), public security and the right to privacy and the rights of the child. The school was built around interactive lectures, case studies and a moot court. All participants received certificates of attendance.
