The Council of Europe carried out a project co-financed by the European
Agency for Reconstruction (EAR) to contribute to the reform of the
prison system in "The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia".
Activities carried out under this project aim at promoting the reform of the prison system, in particular to strengthen its capacity and support its reform towards a greater compliance with common European democratic values and standards. The project started in February 2007 and ended in April 2008. Project objectives: - development and delivery of a
comprehensive training programme in order to enhance the professionalism
of all levels and categories of staff ; |
