The European Union/Council of Europe Joint Programme “Enhancing the Effectiveness of the Albanian System of Human Rights protection and Anti-discrimination” hosted the 4th Inter-Institutional Working Group Meeting on 3 March 2017. The meeting discussed the report and relevant recommendations of the international consultant with regard to an inter-institutional cooperation strategy.

The Inter-Institutional Working Group acts as an advisory body to the Joint Programme Steering Committee and provides expert/technical input to the project implementation process and to the specific topics under discussion.  This is why the drafting of an inter-institutional cooperation strategy and the input/insight of the main project beneficiaries is of utmost importance.

Representatives of all the key partner institutions at a technical level, i.e. the Commissioner for Protection from Discrimination, the People’s Advocate and the Ministry of Social Welfare and Youth, attended the meeting
