Pompidou Group’s 2025 Prevention Prize awarded on 28 November 2025 : co-operation with the Partial Agreement on Youth Mobility through the Youth Card (PAYM) and its statutory partner EYCA
Following the Partial Agreement’s Workshop on co-operation with other Partial Agreements of the Council of Europe (11-12 March 2025) and in the framework of co-operation between the Pompidou Group and the PAYM, a Call for applications for the prevention Prize Jury composed of young people was circulated among EYCA’s stake-holders, and several changemakers from the EYCA MoreIn24 project who had run for the EU elections, applied on behalf of EYCA. Malina Turtureanu, Romania, was selected to be part of the new Jury for the 2025 Prevention Prize. The awards were presented at the 19th Ministerial Conference of the Pompidou Group on 27-28 November 2025 in Strasbourg.
The Prevention Prize involved young people in finding solutions to social problems as an effective way of addressing them. The Prize promoted active youth participation in prevention of drug use and addictive behaviours, supported the winning projects in their development and visibility, as well as fostered civil society and target group engagement in prevention efforts.
