On 2 and 3 July, the Director General of Human Rights and Rule of law, Gianluca Esposito, and the Head of the Department for the Execution of Judgments of the European Court of Human Rights, Frédéric Dolt, carried out a mission to Sofia, organised in close cooperation with the Government Agent’s Office and the Permanent Representation of Bulgaria to the Council of Europe.
The aim of the visit was to discuss the execution of judgments pending under the supervision of the Committee of Ministers.
The delegation met, amongst others, with the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, H.E. Ms. Iliana Iotova, the Prime Minister, H.E. Mr. Rumen Radev, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, H.E. Ms. Velislava Petrova, and the Minister of Justice, H.E. Mr. Nikolay Naydenov.
