On 16 September 2025, the Chair of the Committee of Experts of the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages, Aleksandra Oszmiańska-Pagett, met with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe and other Chairs of Monitoring Bodies in Strasbourg.

Topics on the agenda of were, inter alia, the role of monitoring bodies in a changing geopolitical context, their inputs to the New Democratic Pact for Europe, and possible collaborative efforts with other regional and global mechanisms.

The meeting concluded with a constructive exchange with the Secretary General.
