The main goal of this project is to actively engage particularly vulnerable Young amadoraPeople coming from Portuguese speaking countries in Africa and living in Vulnerable Communities in Portugal, to their Social Rights, Media tools such as the ongoing radio programme, magazine Bué Fixe as well as the related Blog, will be used to disseminate adequate information produced by the Young People themselves with the supervision of specialist to the different contents. Non formal education will be used such as Peer Education and role playing in order to help these young people to experiment situations that they may face in their daily life regarding their constitutional rights as much as European ones. Cultural diversity will be a priority as these groups of young people although having in common the Portuguese language have different cultures, religious believes and values.

Social rights addressed: The social rights that we tackle in the project are: access to education, health service, employment opportunity, access to information, human rights, non formal education and youth participation.

Target group:

The target group of this project is young African Migrant People coming from Portuguese Speaking Countries and second generation of migrant.

The mean obstacles are social, economical, educational and cultural.

We would aim to reach large number of Young with 18 to 27 year olds during this project.

Local authorities involved: We have already met with the local authority concerning the project and possibility of partnership and support, and we wait for the response from them.

The current stage of the project: At the moment we continue running the project which is planned to finish in May 2011.
