Steering Committee for Education (CDEDU)
The overall aim of the CDEDU Steering Committee for Education (steering committee) is to support member States in developing their policies, legislation and practice in view of promoting democratic, quality, inclusive and corruption-free education systems.
It ensures the follow-up of the 26th Session of the Standing Conference of Ministers of Education and oversees the implementation of the Education Strategy (2024-2030).
The CDEDU is assisted by a subordinate body composed of experts with the relevant expertise:
- NEW EDU-IA Committee of Experts on artificial intelligence and education (2026-2027)
This subordinate body is tasked to prepare toolboxes and draft legal instruments on the use of artificial intelligence in education.
