Back PECK holds public event to mark the International Anti-Corruption Day

Within the framework of joint EU/Council of Europe Project against Economic Crime (PECK II) a discussion on the Protection of whistleblowers in Kosovo took place on 5 December 2017. The event was organised on the occasion of International Anti-Corruption Day, with the aim of raising awareness on the need to fight corruption and promoting the practice of whistleblowing. The event gathered representatives from government, law enforcement institutions civils society and media.

The event was addressed by the Minister of Justice, Head of the EU Office/EU Special Representative, Director of Anti-Corruption Agency and Ombudsperson who equally emphasized the role of whistleblowers in the fight against corruption and the need for the revision of the current Law on Informants.

A TV Spot on the impact of corruption developed within the framework of PECK II was screened at the event. The Spot has also been broadcasted in the local media.
