At the annual meeting of the Governing Board of the Enlarged Partial Agreement on the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe (EPA), held on 6-7 May 2025 in Luxembourg, eight Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe underwent regular evaluation in the framework of the 2024-2025 certification cycle.

RENEWAL OF CERTIFICATION:

The Governing Board of the EPA decided to renew the certification of eight Cultural Routes. The Secretariat would like to congratulate the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe on the renewal of their certification:

• European Mozart Ways 

• European Route of Megalithic Culture 

• Aeneas Route

• Alvar Aalto Route – 20th Century Architecture and Design 

• Cyril and Methodius Route 

• European Route d’Artagnan

• Iron Age Danube Route

• Huguenot and Waldensian trail

WITHDRAWAL OF CERTIFICATION:

During the 2024-2025 certification cycle, the Routes of the Olive tree and the Via Romea Germanica were subject to an exceptional evaluation. At its meeting on 6-7 May 2025, the EPA Governing Board examined the Routes to decide whether to renew their certification as "Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe". In view of a lack of compliance with the certification criteria stated in Resolution CM/Res(2023)2, the EPA Governing Board decided to withdraw certification from the two Routes.
