Webinar Marking 30 Years of the Revised European Social Charter

The Conference of INGOs of the Council of Europe (CINGO), is organising a webinar to mark the 30th anniversary of the Revised European Social Charter. The event will take place on Tuesday, 5 May 2026, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM (CET) and it is also part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of CINGO.

The event will bring together institutional representatives, experts and civil society actors to reflect on the Charter’s achievements and future challenges. The event will be opened by Pierre Klein (ATD Fourth World) and Piotr Sadowski (Volonteurope).

The keynote address will be delivered by Professor Aoife Nolan, President of the European Committee of Social Rights, who will explore the strengths of the Charter, the challenges it faces 30 years on, and priorities in the lead-up to the next High-Level Conference on Social Rights that will take place in Portugal, in 2029.

The webinar will also feature contributions from national contexts, offering perspectives from civil society and government representatives. These interventions will highlight concrete developments related to collective complaints, advocacy for ratification, and national initiatives to strengthen commitment to Charter.
