The Council of Europe’s Committee of Ministers has published the case-by-case decisions taken during its meeting from 9 to 11 March on the implementation of judgments and decisions from the European Court of Human Rights.

The Committee of Ministers adopted 42 decisions concerning 21 states during the meeting, as well as two Interim Resolutions concerning the Cyprus v. Turkey and Varnava and Others v. Turkey cases.

The Committee also adopted 18 Final Resolutions in respect of 40 judgments and decisions from the European Court, concerning ten different states.

In addition, the Committee adopted an indicative list of cases to be examined during its next meeting on the execution of rulings from the European Court, which will take place from 9 to 11 June 2026.

Under Article 46 of the European Convention on Human Rights, judgments from the European Court of Human Rights are binding on the states concerned. The Committee of Ministers supervises the execution of judgments on the basis of information provided by national authorities, civil society organisations, National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs) and other interested parties.
