CAHAI Online International Panel

The design, development and use of artificial intelligence have been a focus point of the debates of the last decade. AI offers  tremendous opportunities which are already improving our daily lives, but it also comes with public concern regarding certain aspects of its application.

While measures aimed at creating the right conditions for trustworthy AI are multiplying, the transition from principles to practice remains one of the key issues driving the debates.

Alongside the discussions of the 3rd plenary meeting of the ad hoc committee on artificial intelligence (CAHAI), an online event called "Ensuring a democratic governance of AI – challenges and perspectives" featuring an international panel has been organised on on 15 December 2020 and has debated the ways towards democratic governance of artificial intelligence based on specific examples.
