WECF is a nonprofit network dedicated to feminist action for a healthy planet, consisting of over 150 women’s and environmental organisations, operating in 50 countries. She also is the Chair of the Advisory Committee of the Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy (NIMD), Vice-Chair of the Board of the Foundation Max van der Stoel (FMS) and Member of the Supervisory Board of Oxfam Novib. Between 2012 and 2018 she was the International Secretary of the Dutch Labour Party (PvdA). She is deeply motivated by the belief that equal rights and opportunities are the foundation for a just society and personal well-being, no matter where you were born.
