As the continent's democracy standard-setter, the Council of Europe, with the support of the European Union, the French government, the Region Alsace and the city of Strasbourg, is organising the 2015 World Forum "Freedom vs control: for a democratic response?", to hear organisations and experts from the world over, on the imperatives of its new democracy agenda.
