Back Georgian delegation inspired by the model of the French National School for the Judiciary

On 17-20 November, 2014 the Georgian delegation composed of senior management team of the High School of Justice (HSoJ) and members of the Independent Board of the School visited the French National School for the Judiciary - École nationale de la magistrature (ENM). The main goal of the visit was to build co-operation with and learn from the experiences of the French School. The Georgian delegation visited the School’s premises in Bourdeaux on 17-18 November and Paris on 20 November in order to have a closer insight into the French Institution’s structure, mission and working procedures, its way of developing training curriculum, its approach to modern court management techniques and other aspects.

The Council of Europe is providing assistance to the HSoJ to modernize and strengthen its capacities thus enabling it to better meet the needs of current and future judges and other court staff in the process of initial and in-service training.

The study visit was funded through the Ordinary Budget of the Justice and Legal Co-operation Department, Directorate General of Human Rights and Rule of Law of the Council of Europe.
