Strengthening the Capacity of the High School of Justice of Georgia Project: Training of Trainers on Effective Communication

On 25-26 November 2017 in Tbilisi, the trainers of the High School of Justice of Georgia participated in a Training of Trainers on Effective Communication. The objective of the workshop was to prepare for the pilot training scheduled to take place in December this year.

The training was delivered by the national consultant of the Project, and the programme focused on court staff’s skills necessary for communication with citizens. Specific aspects of verbal and non-verbal communication, approaches to different types of individuals, as well as ways of dealing with conflicts were part of the agenda. As a result of the workshop, the trainers of the High School of Justice are prepared to conduct the pilot training and are expected to deliver the module to court staff within the High School of Justice’s continuous training programme.

The activity was organised within the framework of the Council of Europe Project “Strengthening the capacity of the High School of Justice of Georgia”. This Project is funded by the voluntary contributions of Bulgaria, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Norway, the Slovak Republic and Sweden to support the implementation of the Council of Europe Action Plan for Georgia 2016-2019.
