The Council of Europe organises a Pilot Training for Court Managers on Court Management Practices

A 2-day Pilot Training on court management practices for 16 court managers from different courts of Georgia took place on 14-15 November 2014 at the “House of Justice” in Tbilisi.

The training was conducted by the Council of Europe international experts Ms Gar Yein Ng, Mr Raymond John Burningham, national expert, Mr Mamuka Makhatadze and 4 HSoJ trainers who took part in the 2-day Training of Trainers (ToT) programme organised by the Council of Europe on 12-13 November, 2014.

The court managers were trained on the following topics: European court management practice, quality and efficiency in court management, building employee engagement, incentive mechanisms, performance management, time and stress management, etc.

As a result of the ToT and the Pilot Training, a pool of trainers on court management was established at the HSoJ and will be available for further cascade trainings on court organisation and management.

This activity was organised within the framework of the Council of Europe project “Developing the capacity of the High School of Justice of Georgia” financed by a voluntary contribution by the Government of the Netherlands.
