A CD-ROM with reading and listening items and tasks illustrating the European reference levels in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish is available at the Language Policy Unit.
A tool to allow test developers to analyse tests of Reading and Listening in order to relate them to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) has been developed by the Dutch CEFR Construct Project Team.
Information about each task, text and item in the test is entered into the GRID by specifying its characteristics (e.g. text source, discourse type, estimated difficulty level, etc) from a range of options derived from the CEFR
The samples of tasks for testing writing proficiency at different CEFR levels have been provided by examination providers operating in different contexts and for different languages. They are established examination boards with a long history of national and international examination provision (Alliance française, Cambridge ESOL, CAPLE (universidade de Lisboa), Goethe Institute, WBT, CIEP and Università per Stranieri di Perugia).
