Back Anti-racism commission to present its annual 2021 report

The Council of Europe’s anti-racism body, the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI), will publish its annual report 2021. It outlines, inter alia, key trends and challenges in the fight against racism and intolerance in Council of Europe’s member states in 2021, notably those related to the continued impact of Covid-19 on vulnerable groups, racism in policing and the situation of LGBTI people, and reviews the work performed by ECRI to meet these challenges.

On 1 June at 10 a.m., in an online press briefing held under embargo, Maria Daniella Marouda, Chair of ECRI, and Johan Friestedt, Executive secretary of ECRI, will present the annual report and respond to questions from journalists. To participate in the press briefing and to receive the connection information, journalists are required to register in advance.
