A follow-up meeting on the Fifth Opinion on Switzerland of the Advisory Committee on the Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities is taking place today in Bern. The discussion focuses on implementing the recommendations adopted by the Advisory Committee in the last monitoring cycle.

Special emphasis is placed on protecting the itinerant way of life of the Yenish and Sinti/Manoush, preventing and combating hate speech and intolerance towards national minorities, and promoting the Italian and Romansh languages.
