Laura-Maria Crăciunean-Tatu is associate professor at the Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, Faculty of Law where she delivers courses on Public International Law, International Humanitarian Law and Diplomatic Law. Her research interests are related with cultural rights and cultural diversity as well as the protection of the rights of persons belonging to national minorities.
She is a member of the European Society of International Law (since 2008) and member of the editorial board of the Romanian Journal of International Law.
She has previously served as independent expert in the UN Human Rights Council Advisory Committee (2014-2017), as member of the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (2017-2020) and as independent expert elected in respect of Romania in the Council of Europe Advisory Committee of the FCNM (2016-2020).
Currently, she serves, for the second term, as member of the UN Committee on Economic Social and Cultural Rights.
