The Round Table dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the ratification by Ukraine of the  European Convention on Human Rights will be held online on July 21, 2022. This event will be organized by the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Legal Policy with the Council of Europe project “Support for judicial institutions and processes to strengthen access to justice in Ukraine” and the Council of Europe project “Human Rights Compliant Criminal Justice System in Ukraine”. 

The participants of the round table plan to discuss:

• the achievements of Ukraine in implementation of the standards of the European Convention on Human Rights since its ratification in 1997;
• the impact of war on the functioning of the judicial system of Ukraine and measures necessary to overcome it;
• the challenges faced by Ukraine in implementing of judgements of the European Court of Human rights.
