The Project on “Enhancing the capacity of the justice system by an effective implementation of the reform recommendations and processes in Cyprus” aims to improve the courts management and administration following the establishment of a new Court Service.

The first draft proposal with three outline options for the governance and management structures of the future Court Service was presented to national stakeholders for discussion. During the meetings and consultations which took place in Cyprus on 18-20 May 2022 the stakeholders expressed their support of the project and shared opinions concerning the proposed options.

Following collection of the feedbacks a Recommendation Report will be presented with detailed proposals and recommendations for the establishment of the new Cypriot Court Service.

The Project will also support the improvement of the administrative processes and case-management by court registries through specific recommendations in this area.

The Project is funded by the European Union and co-funded and implemented by the Council of Europe.
