Prof. JUDr. Mojmír Mamojka, Jr., PhD. (born in 1980)

graduated from the Faculty of Law at Comenius University in Bratislava with a doctor of law degree in 2003. He went on to be awarded a PhD after completing his doctoral studies in commercial and financial law (2004-2007). The title of associate professor in the field of commercial and financial law was bestowed on him by Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice (2010). He was awarded the academic degree of professor in commercial and financial law at the Faculty of Law, Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia (2018). His professorship lecture, delivered before the Scientific Council of the aforementioned Faculty, was entitled ‘Progressive conceptual elements in future legislation governing relationships of obligation in commercial law’. He was included in the list of lawyers of the Slovak Bar Association in 2010, with commercial, civil and labour law being his specializations. Mr Mamojka participates actively in scientific events both in Slovakia and abroad (Vienna, Budapest, Rome, Riga, Bucharest, Münster), and he has participated in several student and lecturer mobility programmes (including at the University of Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA and the University of Salzburg, Austria). At present, he acts in the capacity of Vice-rector for Science and Foreign Relations at the Police Academy in Bratislava while also lecturing at the Department of Business and Economic Law of the Faculty of Law at Comenius University in Bratislava. He has authored or co-authored over 100 research publications, as well as several course books and university textbooks. Since 2015, he has been a member of the first State Commission for Elections and the Oversight over the Funding of Political Parties, a member of the Board of the Anti-monopoly Office and one of the vice-chairmen of the Commission for the Recodification of Private Law.
