More than 150 participants from 46 countries met online for part 2 of the 27th ENIC-NARIC Networks annual joint meeting on the 6 October 2020.

After the opening remarks and the oral reports of the Secretariats from the European Commission, Council of Europe and UNESCO, participants were provided with an update on the Global Recognition Convention and the activities of the EHEA Thematic Peer Group on Lisbon Recognition Convention. A presentation by the European Commission focused on new developments in recognition, including the flexibilization of education and micro-credentials. Participants also learnt about the contents of the DigiREC White Paper and the latest information on monitoring of the Lisbon Recognition Convention and the activities of the Working Party on Electronic Communication for Recognition (ELCORE Working Group).

While it would have been preferable to meet face-to-face, this nonetheless successful flexible online format allowed participants to alternate between the plenary session and breakout groups.
