On 3 June, the Higher and Further Education Unit met with academic and administrative staff from universities across 15 countries in the framework of the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) titled "Fostering European Citizenship: Youth Engagement, Rights, and Democratic Responsibilities."

This event was organised by the University of Strasbourg within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme. Key topics included the democratic mission of higher education, the Council of Europe Students’ Rights Charter, the recognition of qualifications and the European Qualifications Passport for Refugees (EQPR).

The meeting concluded with an exchange of views between the Higher and Further Education Unit and participants, addressing current challenges such as digital security, evolving political contexts, and their implications for students and academic staff, as well as reflections on the development of key instruments.
