Through a recent call, the Council of Europe supported six project applications to strengthen the capacity of the National Information Centres for the Recognition of Qualifications (ENICs) from Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom.
To better implement the Lisbon Recognition Convention, the ENICs intend to work on the following topics: recognition of refugees’ qualifications, combating education fraud, improving information provision, supporting university networks on recognition and some others.
The first meeting of the projects’ coordinators took place in Strasbourg on the 27 March. During the meeting, participants exchanged information and experiences, provided feedback on the application process, and learned more about the Council of Europe financial and narrative reporting procedures.
As the projects progress, the Centers agreed to provide more updated information to promote their initiatives.
