Back Council of Europe moderates a debate on automatic recognition

On September 27, the BeNeLux Secretariat organized an event to celebrate the recent signing of a BeNeLux – Baltic agreement on automatic recognition. The event was hybrid, organized at the Egmont Palace in Brussels, and with the Ministers of Education of Belgium (Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles), Latvia, Lithuania and the Netherlands attending in person.

Following introductory remarks by Director General Themis Christophidou of the European Commission and statements by the Ministers, the Head of the Council of Europe Education Department, Sjur Bergan, moderated a talk show style panel debate with participants from UNESCO, the ENIC Network, EQAR – the European Quality Assurance Register for higher education, the European University Association, the European Students Union, and the Slovenian Ministry of Education in its double capacity as presenting the EU Presidency and as Co-Chair of the Bologna Follow Up Group.
