Strengthening corruption risk management in Kosovo*

The Council of Europe organised a two-day workshop to support the development of an action plan for implementing corruption risk mapping (CRM) findings in Kosovo’s public institutions.

The aim of the activity was to guide the staff of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption (APC) to translate the results of recent corruption risk mapping into concrete policy and operational measures.

Under the close guidance of the Council of Europe expert participants worked on defining objectives, measures and timelines that will guide institutions in addressing identified corruption risks and improving monitoring of mitigation measures.

Discussions focused on identifying patterns of corruption risks across central institutions and public enterprises. Participants explored practical mitigation measures and how these can be embedded within institutional frameworks and aligned with national strategic priorities. Moreover, the workshop enabled participants to address policy planning needs, ensuring that corruption risk management is integrated into the upcoming strategic cycle and aligned with the National Anti-Corruption Strategy.

The activity was organised within the framework of the Action on Countering Corruption and Economic Crime funded and implemented by the Council of Europe which builds on the longstanding EU/Council of Europe Joint Project against Economic Crime (PECK).
