The second Steering Committee Meeting of the EU/CoE Partnership for Good Governance Project on “Enhancing the systems of prevention and combating corruption, money laundering and terrorist financing in Georgia” was organised on 27 February 2020.

The Committee members took stock of the results achieved in 2019 and discussed priority actions for 2020 and the timelines for their implementation.

The Committee is comprised of the representatives of the project’s key beneficiary institutions and the representatives of the EU Delegation to Georgia.

The project is one of the six projects which constitute the second phase of the EU/CoE Partnership for Good Governance (PGG) programme interventions to support Eastern Partnership countries to counter economic crime. It builds upon outcomes of actions implemented since 2015 to counter money laundering and terrorist financing, with an added focus on combatting corruption.
